북미 5대 필름 스쿨 중 하나인 밴쿠버 필름스쿨은 밴쿠버 다운타운의 4곳에서 Film, Acting, Writing, Animation, New Media 등의 전문 교육과정을 체계적으로 공부합니다. 이 학교는 1987년 개교시 필름 전공자 12명으로 시작되었으나 현재 12개 정규과정, 750여명의 전공학생과 50여 파트타임 과목의 2천 여 명의 수강자를 수용하는 북미 5대 필름 스쿨 중 하나로 자리잡았습니다.
짧은 기간동안 집중적으로 양질의 실무교육을 시켜 현장에 배출함으로써 밴쿠버 필름 스쿨을 졸업과 동시에 전문가로써 인정받으며, 현재 영상분야 유명 회사들이 교육기관으로 추천하고 있습니다.
꾸준한 제작이 이루어지며, 매년 900작품이상이 학생들의 실험 정신에 입각해 만들어 지고 있습니다. 밴쿠버 필름 스쿨은 1년 미만의 속성 심화 과정으로 년중 8번의 개강일을 통해 입학이 용이하도록 하고 있으며, 최고의 전문 영화인과 각분야의 전문가들이 교수진으로 있어, 단기간에 전문가로서의 실무적인 자질을 갖출 수 있습니다. |
